I paid ₦78,000, which I was told was a discounted rate, then found out this morning that breakfast wasn’t included. At the restaurant they said it would cost ₦12,000, which was unexpected and disappointing. I’ve also asked for laundry service several times, but nobody has responded or helped with it yet. The rooms are clean and well arranged, and the surroundings are comfortable. But some staff need basic training in hospitality and customer service. Guests should get the same respect, whether they seem wealthy or older or not. And a staff member shouldn’t decide which room a paying guest has to take. We should be able to request a change if the assigned room isn’t satisfactory. The facilities are good, but service needs serious improvement.
I had a generally nice stay on Monday, which is why I gave three stars. I came back today, October 16 2025, but couldn’t bring myself to stay in either of the cheaper rooms, Basic or Standard. Their bathroom sinks had been patched with a cement-like substance instead of silicone or caulk, and it looked misplaced, lumpy, and nasty. I was checking in alone at 9pm and leaving early to go home, so I didn’t need all the space in the Executive room. I asked for a discount, but the manager on duty, hammed or Ahmed, just frowned and stared at me. I greeted him with a smile, then got quizzed for over five minutes. He still refused the discount, so I paid full price. He wasn’t even apologetic. He was rude and lacking in customer service. The female receptionist and the porter on duty understood how tired I was. They deserve the pay more than Ahmed. He can keep the title, but his attitude needs work because it makes the hotel look bad. For 123k? Not again. Also, I got locked inside the shower stall because there was no handle on the bathroom door to open it from the inside. It was traumatizing.
A terrible stay. There wasn’t any soap or cream in the bathroom, and the towel was old. I paid N85k, but they still brought hot water in a flask, with no electric kettle in the room. The receptionist, Yinka, was polite.
The location is great, within walking distance of Ikeja City Mall, but everything else was terrible. I changed rooms twice and there was no real improvement. The bathrooms were old, archaic, dirty, and smelly. The towels were worn out, and the elevator shook. Avoid this place at all cost.
Cockroaches were everywhere because the hotel is so poorly maintained. I changed rooms, but the next one was even worse. When I raised it, the woman just looked at me as if she couldn’t understand. The staff were hostile for some reason, like they weren’t being paid. I also saw a rat in the restaurant and told the woman there, but she didn’t seem bothered.
