Hotel Royale

A terrible experience. The toilets looked very dirty, staff wore slip-ons, and the reception was piled with junk like a local market.

On my first stay here, and my first time in Nigeria, I found the staff kind and the rooms clean. The manager was helpful, kind, and professional. There’s a pool, music, and a gym, along with round-the-clock AC, lights, and laundry. Security is at the gate, and they keep the gates closed. The price, staff, and location are worth it, so I’ll stay again and highly recommend the place. Thanks for making my visit special.

A general nightlife spot, with a gym, lounge, swimming pool, and club.

The catfish pepper soup was usually good, though particularly pricey. This place has long had a good name for outdoor get-togethers, with lounges, bars outside, poolside entertainment, and food like peppered chicken and other African dishes. On my recent visit, it felt different. There were lots of teenagers and young adults, with plenty of youthful and competitive performances. After each act, performers went around asking guests for tips, usually money, which some customers may not appreciate. If that kind of atmosphere suits you, though, there’s no shortage of activity.
