Casa Amarilla

The room had some serious problems: the bathroom ceiling kept dripping onto my back, head, and legs when I sat on the toilet. There was urine in the toilet when I arrived, and the open underside of the sink looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. I also didn’t like the neighborhood after dark, with lots of drugs around, though I lived in Granada. The hotel has potential, but it wasn’t for me, and I was very disappointed with both the hotel and bookings.com. My reservation was through bookings com for $330, but I was told it would be $380 when I arrived and had to pay cash. The app didn’t say cash was required. Read the fine print too, as they charge $10 for air conditioning.

Everything I needed was there, apart from food. 😊 The place is beautiful, clean, and well kept, and it feels very secure behind its gate. There’s a rooftop with plenty of seats and a hammock, a nice spot to unwind. Laundry, corner stores, City Center, lots of great restaurants, and Mercado market are within walking distance. There’s also a small market right across the street selling drinks and homemade treats. I highly recommend it and will definitely return on my next visit!

The terrace has a nice view over Granada, though it could use a proper clean. The room was clean, the kitchen had everything needed to cook, and the Wi-Fi worked well. The location is close to the center. But the mattress was extremely hard, uncomfortable, and noisy, which was really annoying.

The kitchen was comfortable and had everything we needed, and the apartment itself was roomy, with a separate bedroom and bathroom. It was really clean and a great place to stay. There’s just one AC unit in the main room, so it doesn’t do much for the bedroom. I’d still happily recommend it.
