Casa Silas B and B

The rooms are big, air conditioned, and have comfy beds, and the breakfasts were really good. There’s a market worth checking out during the day just a block away, with a couple of great restaurants only a few blocks from the house. Rob can also arrange driving or transfers with Francisco, a great driver. Rob knows so much about Granada and Nicaragua, and he and Klaudinha Keddy are among the nicest hosts we’ve met anywhere. Rob moved from Canada to Nicaragua over ten years ago, fell for the city, and met his wonderful wife Klaudinha here. From the first time you contact him, you can tell it’ll be a great stay. He became a friend right away, and the whole time we were at Casa Silas it felt like home, just like “mi casa es su casa.” After our three-day stay, our plans fell through as we were about to leave town, so we had to spend a couple more days in Granada. We went straight back to Casa Silas, and luckily they could fit us in. They turned a difficult, upsetting situation into a positive one, and we’ll always be grateful.
