Flor is such a lovely person. We were her first air bnb guests, and she thanked us with a Nicaraguan dessert, which was adorable. The hostel was clean, the beds were comfy, the shower was good, and the kitchen had everything we needed. I really liked that it wasn’t right by the centre park. It’s close to the Mercad and amenities, but the area is less busy. Our room had dressers, which you don’t find everywhere, plus a small desk and fans. Staying for a week, that storage was so helpful. Flor was happy to help whenever we needed something. Such a great little place!

For a couple wanting a cheap night, it should do, at $17 with taxes compared with $25 elsewhere. It’s clean and inexpensive, with a kitchen, a very basic double bed, and a shared bathroom. I didn’t get much of a vibe, though, and every wall had handwritten rules: no loud talking after 10, no movies, no laundry under the shower, and they aren’t responsible for belongings. There was no coffee or water for guests.

The staff were fantastic, and the owner was incredibly friendly. Go read the story behind the name. The Greek yogurt really is authentic, made on site with ingredients, some brought from Greece, by a super friendly guy from Greece. I enjoyed spending time with staff and other travelers as much as exploring Granada.
