Hostel De Boca en Boca

The AC room worked really well for me, with curtains, a big locker plus a smaller one by the bed, storage space, a light, socket, and a fan that came in handy during the day. It also had its own bathroom. Everything was kept very clean, and the staff checked that things were working and asked how we were doing. There were activities, a free drink each day, and a nice breakfast, though it was on the small side. One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in.

I slept really well in the clean, friendly hostel, and my room had AC. Breakfast, coffee, and juice were all fabulous. It’s close to the tourist attractions, and the staff clearly work hard to make guests feel looked after. They gave me lots of tips, helped arrange a couple of transport bookings, and handled my very specific request for getting to Popoyo smoothly. I also got a great gel nails recommendation, and they did my laundry there.

Right beside La Merced church, this is a cozy little hostel with plenty of places to hang out or chat, plus a pool for hot days. The service was top notch. Eva and the other women at reception went out of their way to make me feel at home. I’ll be back.

The staff and the volunteers were all kind and quick to help, with plenty of tips and suggestions. Booking tours and transfers through the hostel was easy, including pickup right there. My dorm room looked out at Merced church, and the location is handy for cafés and restaurants. AC ran from 22:00-10:00, which helped in the hot, humid weather. Breakfast and coffee were tasty, and the room had convenient big lockers. I’d definitely return.
