Jonathan made the logistics of our five days at Pacaya Lodge and Spa so easy. He arranged our transfers between the lodge, another hotel, and the airport, and even came with us to the second hotel. He also set up a cooking class at the lodge, a craft class in town for my wife, and a massage for us. We were on our first trip to Nicaragua, and although the lodge is a little out of the way, it worked well as a base for a boat tour of Les Isletas Granada, a volcano tour, and a visit to Granada. The chef's cooking class was impressive, especially the first effort. The grounds were tidy and felt very secure, our room was clean, and we got used to the wind. Food was good, service stayed attentive, and we felt welcome. Pacaya Lodge's support for the local community is remarkable and worth supporting. We'd definitely return.

The quiet setting made it easy to unwind, while there was still plenty of adventure nearby. My teenage daughter and I drove about 10 minutes to the lake one day, went on canopy tours, explored Grenada, and visited other parts of Opportunity International that this property is a part of. We loved our time at Pacaya. The property is stunning, and the food and drinks were excellent. Staff knew us by name and went above and beyond to help with anything we needed. The open dining and lounge areas also led to great conversations and connections with other guests. It felt like a once-in-a-lifetime trip. We'll be back with the rest of the family.

I've stayed here once before and plan to come back again. The grounds are clean and incredibly beautiful, and the staff is FANTASTIC. A first rate stay. If you're considering Hotel Pacaya, take this as your sign to book. I look forward to returning every year.

The neighboring property's music was VERY NOISY, though luckily we were already awake. Aside from that, this is a lovely hotel with amazing rooms and a fab restaurant. The views of Laguna de Apoyo are excellent.

We loved it. The view is spectacular, and the food and service are just as impressive. There’s plenty to see and do near the lodge, or you can relax by the pool and indulge in spa services. It’s only a short plane hop to get there.
