Hostal Nathaly

We were told the meal hours and how things worked when we asked about dinner and breakfast. But there was no dinner on the first night, and no breakfast the next day either. We decided to move on.

This family-run hostel has a lovely garden, a pool overlooking Concepción, and plenty of hammocks. The rooms are basic but do the job. It’s a 15-20 minute walk to Moyogalpa, so not right in town. 😊

The garden, pool, and hammocks are nice, and they sell cheap food and drinks on site. Our room had its own bathroom, but it was very humid at night and had ants, spiders, and a cockroach. AC costs extra each night, which was a bummer. It’s a 24-minute walk to the ferry and shops, and there’s no shared kitchen or living room. We loved hearing the parrots say ‘Buenas!’ It’s very cheap.

There’s a lovely garden with a pool and a hammock outside each room. The location is nice, breakfast is OK, and staff are helpful, though they only speak Spanish. The rooms are tiny and very basic, so not somewhere I’d want to spend the day, but it’s still good value. One thing that felt less friendly: adding a second person to the room at arrival doubles the price. It seems to be common practice around here.
