The property was renovated to a high standard, with comfortable rooms, great heating, and everything very clean. We needed that heating for the cold, wet days in late April, and the farmland views were lovely. It’s right by the canal, peaceful, and convenient for the train into Amsterdam. Abcoude village is charming, with good grocery options, including shops open until 6pm on Sunday. The kitchen could use a small freezer, since there isn’t one in the refrigerator. Parking at Abcoude station can fill up, so after around 10am you may need to check the side street opposite and walk about 200 meters to find a space.
