We enjoyed looking out at the boats moving along the canal, and even had local coots sitting on our windowsill. The houseboat accommodation was quiet, comfortable and well equipped, and the people nearby were friendly and helpful. It’s in the Jordaan, close enough to walk to its many bars, restaurants and historic sights. Several tram lines are about a 10-minute walk away, making it easy to get to other parts of the city and the main tourist attractions. Staying on a houseboat felt more fitting and authentic for Amsterdam than being in an anonymous hotel room.

The suite was spotless, stylish and welcoming, and Bryan was wonderful. We were even given a delicious bottle of wine and some local beers. This was such a fun, charming and unusual place to stay in Amsterdam. It really lifted our trip, and we had a fantastic experience!

The bed was easily the most comfortable one we had on our whole European trip. The towels and bedding smelled incredibly fresh, and the bathrooms were fantastic and comfortable. I was worried about shower pressure because I’d stayed on houseboats before, but it turned out not to be an issue. There was even a small desk fan for air circulation and white noise, which was a rare treat. Bryan, if you’re reading this, please tell us what makes the linens smell so good! 2 Houseboat Suites was a big part of why our Amsterdam visit became a highlight of the trip. It’s right in the Nine Streets, surrounded by lovely streets, canals, unique shops and great cafés. Rum Baba was my favorite. Thanks for such a great stay. We can’t wait to return.

The host was kind and shared useful tips about the city, which made the stay even nicer. The boathouse room sits right on the canal, with big windows and peaceful water views. It was clean, cozy and stylish, and the location was excellent, right in central Amsterdam within walking distance of the main sights. A memorable, enjoyable place to stay.

We spent nine days on this enchanting houseboat and absolutely loved it. I was in Amsterdam for a conference, and my wife and I turned it into a delightful trip. Waking up to still canal water and the kind, excellent service Bryan provided made the houseboat the standout experience of our visit. You’re close to everything here, and a quick tram ride gets you elsewhere. We can’t wait to return someday.
