Canal Suite City Centre

My daughter’s first visit to Amsterdam was a memorable one. The Canal Suite was beautifully furnished and close to all the amenities, and Judith went out of her way to make sure everything was good. Five stars for both the apartment and the host. Amazing experience.

The apartment is compact, but works well for one or two people, and the owner was communicative whenever needed. It’s around a five-minute walk from the metro and a large supermarket, with Dam Square, the zoo, and plenty of other attractions within walking distance. Be aware that there’s a steep flight of stairs if stairs are difficult for you, as is common in Amsterdam. Fully recommend it!

My friend was able to drop his luggage at the apartment before check-in and head out to explore Amsterdam. Judith even offered him a late check-out, which I really didn’t expect and appreciated so much. There was a party in Amsterdam that weekend. I wasn’t there, but Judith sent me a photo so I could share a little of what my friend was seeing and enjoying. Nobody’s ever done that for me before. I booked the apartment for a good friend. I was anxious that his trip might go wrong for reasons that had nothing to do with the apartment, and Judith patiently reassured me that he was okay. She didn’t need to take that on, but she was kind anyway. I know Amsterdam pretty well from visiting several times, and this place is incredibly central. The tram is an option, but you can also get around to just about everywhere quickly on foot. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. My friend loved it, and, like me, found the people super friendly. He’s always honest with me about whether things are okay, so I trust what he told me. I can’t recommend Canal Suite CIty Centre enough. If I make it back to Amsterdam, I hope I get to stay here myself.

The room was cosy, very clean, and had everything we needed for a few days as a couple visiting Amsterdam. The location was lovely too. Judith was an amazing host, so understanding and attentive.
