The Bank Hotel

We booked a standard double and liked the room. It was a decent size, with a nice bathroom and a roomy shower with strong pressure. Towels are changed daily, and the reception staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel’s very convenient: Amsterdam Central Station is about a 10-minute walk, so getting to and from the airport is easy, and most popular food spots, activities, and the red light district are walkable too. There are lots of coffee shops on the street, and at check-in they offer discounts at nearby places such as Mr Meat steak house, in the same building next to the hotel. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, a hair dryer, TV, tea, coffee, and water are provided. The wardrobes are small, with only a few hangers, but there’s an iron and ironing board. We’d highly recommend it.

Lady, the hotel cat, was the highlight of my trip. The staff were amazing and took time to get to know their guests, and housekeeping came daily. My seven days here, from check-in onward, were truly awesome. Thanks to the staff for such great hospitality.

The room was well equipped, with an in-room safe, and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were helpful and great. The location is excellent, and dining at MrMeat in the same building gets you 10% off your bill.

The Bank Hotel is on a busy street, but our room was very quiet, and the view from the window was great. The room itself was large and clean. We had a lovely stay, thanks in particular to Kostas, who was phenomenal and took care of everything we needed. The only thing we’d change is the beds, which felt a bit hard. We definitely plan to return.
