Don't be put off by comments about the stairs. They weren't too bad, as long as you don't bring a huge, heavy suitcase. The host was welcoming, and our room was comfortable and a great size. There was plenty to choose from at breakfast. The hotel is well placed near Amsterdam's centre and the metro. We enjoyed our stay and would come back.

We could unwind after sightseeing because the hotel is in a really quiet spot, even though restaurants, bars, and other places are close by. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The owner was helpful, and breakfast was available 24 hours a day. I'd definitely stay here again.

It's a cozy city hotel in a great location, with the charm and original character of an old Amsterdam house. Don't expect a modern or fancy place. The owner is very friendly, typically Dutch, and happy to chat with guests. The hotel seems focused on service rather than profit.

Really clean, with decent food available around the clock for breakfast, and the person at reception was super friendly. The stairs are very uncomfortable, though, and I wouldn't recommend it for older people. I'm giving it 5 stars for the cleanliness, 24/7 free food, and the reception staff's great attitude.

An excellent budget hotel, with staff who were really friendly and helpful. They ran the place the way I'd run my own home. A great example of why the Dutch do so well in the world.
