Amstel Boutique Studio

The location was great, but the studio itself was very basic, with a tiny TV. We had to wash the dirty cutlery when we arrived. There was a can of beer and a pack of grapes in the fridge. The bathroom had shampoo and body wash, but no conditioner. The owner lives right next door in the same building, but didn’t greet us when we arrived. I understand this has happened to other guests too. There were no WiFi details, so I had to message her to get them. We accidentally left a sleeve of cigarettes we’d bought at the airport in the room. I messaged the owner, but got no reply. The cleaner put a T-shirt we’d left outside for us to collect, but the cigarettes were missing. I believe the owner or cleaner took them. I won’t be coming back after that. Disgusting behavior. I use Booking.com regularly and have never had anything stolen at other places I’ve stayed. Be careful with your valuables here. Booking.com reimbursed me because they believed me. It’s a shame, since the property was okay apart from all that.
