Amsterdam Teleport Hotel

The room had bed bugs, which was disgusting, and a scam message arrived just after I booked, leaving me seriously concerned about data security. My key stopped working almost every day, and sometimes nobody was at the front desk, so I cut days short to avoid being locked out. One staff member was rude and unprofessional. The bathroom design meant water collected on the floor even with the curtain, and there was no hair dryer or elevator. Around the hotel, people openly smoked marijuana, and I saw a police car chasing another vehicle nearby. The stay was incredibly stressful. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.

The staff were lovely, friendly and welcoming, and the HOTEL CAT is cute. From what I saw, it just lies on its bed, but if you're allergic, you should probably avoid the place. The colourful hotel was really eye-catching. Still, our room had no TV or shower. You had to go down the hallway to use your own shower, and my kids ended up entertaining themselves on our phones. Bring power banks, the electricity was poor and charging took forever. Hygiene was a serious problem: our room was never cleaned, so we did it ourselves. I found fingernails in the cutlery drawer, and the only time I saw the cleaner, they just used water on a cloth, with no disinfectant or spray. Don't use the cutlery or facilities. Some plugs were coming loose and the side lamp didn't work. We were out and busy most of the time, so thankfully it was just a place to sleep. For a weekend away with a friend, it could be an option: it's near the station, in nice, clean, safe surroundings. With kids or family, it's a no. Thank you, though.

We found it so easy to get around from this hotel. It was one stop from the city centre, and almost all the popular places we visited were just one stop away too, which made the trip much more convenient. The staff were warm, friendly and helpful, and made us feel completely comfortable. With that location and such welcoming service, I'd recommend it! 🌟

Yilana was so friendly, and the whole place had a great vibe. The room was large for Amsterdam, with the space booking.com said we'd get, and the little kitchenette was handy for a longer stay. The owners clearly care about the hotel, and we got not one but two gifts when we arrived. There's plenty of free parking, and pets can come at no extra cost. I regret booking through booking.com, since contacting them directly would have got us a huge discount. We'll be back and book direct next time.
