Artist House Amsterdam

Arvin was so thoughtful. He checked us in, shared lots of useful information, kept our bags after checkout because we had a late flight, and even gave my husband chocolates for his birthday the day before. We spent five nights at Artist House Apartments and had a wonderful stay. The apartment was beautiful and the location is hard to beat. We'd definitely stay again and would absolutely recommend it. The bedroom looks onto the inner courtyard, so there was no noise at night even though the apartment is on a busy square. It also has the basics for a kitchen, including a kettle, fridge, Nespresso coffee maker, plates and cutlery. We loved the central location and the owners were lovely. We didn't regret choosing this place over a similarly priced hotel.

The hosts were kind and helpful, and the place was a safe, quiet spot to return to after time in the city and pubs. It's centrally located near a metro station, with everything close by. The room is big, more like a one-bedroom apartment, with a bathroom and shower, large queen bed, TV, sofa, dining table and fridge. There are plates and silverware, a dishwashing machine, dual microwave but no stove, and a small coffee and tea setup with a capsule coffee maker. They even include delicious Dutch wafer cookies, and there are nice decorative touches. Great for couples or solo travelers, but not for loud party types or smokers.

The bedroom, living room and kitchenette have been newly refurbished and were perfectly clean. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was full size and very useful. You're on a square full of cafes and restaurants, but it still isn't loud. Central station and all the main central attractions are within walking distance. Highly recommended.
