B&B Mondriaan

The terrace overlooking the park was lovely for tea in the morning and evening. There was no air conditioning in June, but with the windows open a nice breeze came through the room at night. It was quiet and conveniently located about three minutes from the train station. I highly recommend it. My room was on the second floor, the third floor in Japanese terms. The owner carried my heavy suitcase both up and down and let me leave my luggage in the building after checkout. The entrance can be a little hard to find, but there’s a bell at number 212 on the side facing the park. Although it’s called a B&B, breakfast isn’t included.

The room was very clean and well maintained, and the owners were really helpful. It’s a good location for getting into the city center, but the room is tiny and has no kitchenette, just a fridge, kettle, and coffee machine. The price is quite high. The train station is right next door, and the trains are pretty noisy. We were on the second floor, and carrying heavy suitcases up the steep, winding stairs was a challenge. Parking under the apartment costs an extra €30 per day.

The manager was friendly, and my room was clean and comfortable. It’s in a quiet area about 20 minutes from the city center, with metro, train, bus, and tram stops just steps away.

The tram is close by, and the apartment had everything we needed. Service was excellent too.
