Blueprint B&B - Breakfast & Bikes

The location was a real highlight for our first trip to Amsterdam. Most museums were an easy 10-minute walk away, two grocery stores were minutes from the apartment, and there were lots of restaurants nearby and within a 7-10-minute walk. Public transport, including routes to Central Station and the city center, was a couple of blocks away, while Blueprint sits on a very quiet neighborhood street. We had a fantastic time and highly recommend it for a comfortable, convenient stay. We spent two weeks at the BLUEPRINT apartment and were lucky to find it. Maarten and Malo were the best hosts we've had. Their booking and pre-arrival messages were prompt and thorough, and they were thoughtful and attentive throughout. Malo met us as we got out of the taxi, after we'd shared our approximate arrival time. She showed us the apartment's private entrance and explained the features, amenities, spare linens and stackable washer/dryer, which we used several times. The apartment was clean and as lovely as the pictures. It's thoughtfully laid out and furnished with a designer's touch. The living area felt spacious, with big comfortable chairs and a leather sofa. Recessed and ambient lights, plus lamps, were placed throughout. The powder room and main shower and sink area had updated fixtures and great water pressure. Books, artwork, decorator pillows and a throw made it feel cozy. There was a large flat-screen TV in both the living room and bedroom, though we spent lots of time reading and left a few novels behind. The internet was strong, and guests with an account could use Netflix on the TV. Outside the bedroom door there was a small garden, and bicycles were available, though we didn't use them. The beds were very comfortable, with extra blankets and linens if needed. The kitchenette had plenty of plates, glasses, mugs and utensils. To our surprise, our hosts had stocked the fridge with breakfast and brunch meats, cheeses, half and half, juice, yogurt and more. The cupboards held Keurig coffee, several kinds of tea, individual cereal boxes, hot cocoa, bread, sugar and spreads, plus a bowl of fresh fruit. We were amazed by how much was there for breakfast or a snack. It was nice that the hosts' family lived on the upper floors. They were available for questions if needed, while still giving us privacy. We sometimes ran into Maarten or Malo, and they always asked how things were going and whether we needed anything. They clearly take pride in Blueprint and care about their guests' comfort and satisfaction.
