We were a family of four there over Christmas week last December, and had a great time. The canal-side location was perfect and within walking distance of everything. Breakfast each morning was lovely, and the rooms were comfortable and clean. The host was accommodating and gave us lots of recommendations. We'd highly recommend it and hope to book again on our next visit.

François was so kind and patient. He took time to show us around the city, offered lots of excellent, accurate tips for our Amsterdam stay, and did his best to help with every request. We really appreciated it. We booked the Patio Room, which was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated, with a huge, very comfortable double bed. Breakfast was excellent, too. The location felt lively and central, but still beautiful and peaceful. 10/10 across the board.

The room was cleaned every day, and the bathroom was spotless. Francois, his lovely family, and their doggy were super-duper hosts. Breakfast was plentiful, so much so that I asked for less to avoid wasting food. The fresh breads each day included a croissant, healthy grains bread, and a delicious cereal roll. The bed was huge, soft but still firm, and the fluffy pillows made my back and neck very happy. Best place to stay in Amsterdam, hands down. Thanks for a great stay!

The Posthoorn was in a quiet spot close to all the sights, between the NE Jordaan and Canal Belt neighborhoods. It's an easy 15-minute walk from Centraal Station, and there's a market two blocks north. Francois was a great host, with a light breakfast, recommendations, and local information. We had a wonderful four-night stay and would book the Posthoorn again if we return to Amsterdam.

The Patio room was so comfortable, with a bed and pillows that felt just like home. There was lots of space, a mini kitchen, a big sofa, and even a small outdoor patio. It was a cozy place to unwind after walking around the city. In the room, breakfast was a yummy spread of fresh breads, soft-boiled eggs, OJ, fruit, meat, and jams. Coffee and tea were self-serve, and there was a microwave, stove, sink, and fridge. An ironing board and iron, plus bathrobes, were available too. The Posthoorn is in Jordaan, on a canal in a historic part of Amsterdam, with a former church behind the home. Charming, kind Francois brought breakfast to our room each morning. We loved our relaxing stay. Thank you, Francois! ;-)
