The artistic touches in the rooms made a nice impression. We also had a shared balcony with another room, plus access to a common kitchen. We stayed three nights at the end of August, and both the service and location were great. There are two lakes nearby that make for a lovely walk. I’d recommend staying here.

The hotel worked really well for the AFAS arena, about a 10-minute walk away. Even with the railway lines nearby, it was very quiet. The room was tidy and clean, with a huge bed, and we could use the small kitchen, which had tea and proper coffee. The decor is a bit quirky. We got in around midnight and were greeted warmly. There was a late check-in fee of 12,50€, which seemed reasonable. For getting into the city, the nearest rail link is a five-minute walk, and train M54 goes to Amsterdam Centraal for 3,20€. It’s a nicely located hotel for visiting Amsterdam, and I’d happily recommend it.

Our reservation for 11-15 May was canceled for free by Booking.com because of the COVID situation. That meant the apartments were supposed to refund our prepayment within 30 days. Instead, the host said they wouldn’t return the money and suggested we book another time. We don’t want to plan a future vacation in Amsterdam, and after we explained that, they stopped replying to our messages. I don’t think this is how a hotel should respond. Since the booking was canceled, we couldn’t even post a review on Booking.com. Please be careful about using this accommodation, as you could end up in the same situation.

The station is only two minutes away, and the location is perfect. The staff were very kind and helpful.

The metro station is right outside, and the room was lovely. I’ll definitely stay here again next time I’m in the area.
