The only reason I'm taking off a star is the toilet. It's almost impossible to use properly if you're tall, and my knees were against the wall the whole time 😂. Other than that, no complaints. The room gets pitch dark, so you can get good rest. They have an elevator, which is a big plus in Ámsterdam when some hotels around $200 per night don't. It's a very affordable choice with free breakfast, basic and plain but filling. They had scrambled and boiled eggs, croissants, cheese and ham, water, juice, and coffee. Good for a budget trip if you won't spend all day at the hotel. Just be careful going out very early, around 6 am, when people may ask for money and follow you until you give them some.

We really liked the staff and the location, close to malls and interesting places around the city. But our reservation was made for four people, and the room only had one double bed.

I stayed in early December and felt really welcome. The room was a bit small, but clean and perfectly fine to stay in. Great location and an ideal base for exploring the city. The staff were very friendly, and I'll book again next time I'm in amsterdam.

When I arrived, they told me they'd been unable to validate my credit card and had cancelled my reservation, even though I'd booked through hotels.com. They then offered me a room for twice the price. I went to another hotel instead and will never consider staying here again. I think they tried to scam me.

My mother became ill while on holiday from overseas and staying at this hotel. The staff made sure she got prompt medical attention, then hand-delivered her belongings to the hospital after hours. I really appreciated the care they showed her as a person. They were communicative and helpful while I called from across the Atlantic to coordinate getting her things delivered. The service went far beyond what I'd expected. I'm glad she chose this hotel for her trip. Thank you!
