The raisin bread was my favorite part of brunch, baked with cinnamon and absolutely delicious. We also shared the bûche de chèvre platter with an egg, two soft-boiled eggs, and a cheese platter. My cortado with almond milk was decent. We sat outside in a calm, soothing atmosphere, and I really like Carmen's overall vibe. This was my second visit. They also have a very cool concept store attached, which is fun to browse.
Carmen’s guesthouse made our Amsterdam trip feel extra special. The canal view is stunning, and the house is beautifully designed, with so many details we loved. The Carmen team were wonderfully hospitable and always ready to help make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We’d love to come back next summer!
The location couldn’t be better, and the amazing breakfast was another highlight. The thoughtful details and high-end decor made the stay feel special. The host and all the staff were super friendly and helpful. We’ll be back!
The food was delicious, but the service and timing were incredibly poor. We waited an hour and twenty minutes for brunch, and it took another 35 minutes to get my green tea. They only had four tables, so the timing was ridiculous. They brought a pie to our table, then took it away saying it was for other guests. I saw that happen twice more.
The lunch menu changes all the time, and the food is really delicious. It’s a small, loving space, so book ahead. Prices are a little high, I’d say, though the quality is good. The pastries look great and the staff are lovely. I really like the concept. See you next time.
