The breakfast was decent, but the menu was identical every day. Only once were we asked if we wanted an omelette, and making that available daily would’ve improved things. The room was comfortable and well designed, though the lighting could have been better. It was useful to have a wash basin both inside and outside the bathroom. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy. I had a pleasant stay at Clayton American Hotel in Amsterdam, mainly thanks to its excellent location, with everything nearby for sightseeing and transport.

This is our second stay, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. The staff are so warm, welcoming, and kind, and the rooms are spotless and really comfortable. It’s perfectly central, with a tram stop right outside and an Albert Heijn just across the road. We can’t recommend the hotel enough!

I felt so good staying here, and the room was exceptional. The team, from reception to the Bar team, were the best. I can’t praise them enough, and I hope the owners look after them well. This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. If I visit Amsterdam again, this is where I’ll stay. Thank you so much.

The room was quiet and comfortable, and we even got access earlier than expected, which I really appreciated. Breakfast could have been more flexible. I had a very pleasant stay at the Clayton Hotel Amsterdam American and would happily come back. 9/10.

The cocktails at the bar were amazing, and the staff were so nice. I also really liked the clean, comfortable rooms, the tasty breakfast with lots of options, and the gym, which is genuinely good for a hotel. Loved staying here and would definitely recommend it.
