Hotel Corner House

The food was brilliant. We tried a local dish and thought it was top notch, and one of my mates enjoyed his burger too. Check-in was easy, towels were changed daily, and we could come and go whenever we liked thanks to 24-hour access through a side door. The hotel’s terrific location puts you close to the attractions. Outside was noisy, which was our only issue. Still, it was a good choice for our recent Amsterdam trip.

We stopped in for something quick. The bitterballen were good, but the pizza listed as a margherita was basically an underwhelming cheese pizza with a few bits of arugula. The little cup of garlic sauce is what took this from a three-star kind of meal to one star. The waitress asked if we wanted it on the side without us bringing it up, we said yes, and then found out it cost €2. I didn't even touch it. I should've known better than to choose a tourist trap, though I didn't expect that from the Dutch. Go in at your own risk.

Hanna was so kind, and she made an already lovely visit even better. The place had a great feel, was spotless, and the music was good. Breakfast was amazing too, and the coffee delicious. A real 10 out of 10.

We came back twice in two days, using this as a nice break between sightseeing for food and drinks. The prices were affordable, and the menu had a good range, especially the traditional Dutch dishes. The green pea soup and stroopwafel cake were amazing. Staff were helpful and friendly, and it's right in the city center.
