Hotel Mercier

The area is very nice, convenient for tourists, and feels safe. Breakfast was decent, and most of the staff were polite, though not everyone. We paid 290 euros a night plus city tax, which felt excessive for a very uncomfortable room with no window, apparently built into the middle of the corridor as an extra construction. We were two friends and requested twin beds; although there were two, they touched, so it felt like one bed. The shower room had no door, making it difficult to shower with any privacy. At one point the air conditioning blew cold air while it was zero degrees outside. Our room still hadn't been cleaned by late afternoon, despite us being out since early morning, so we had to ask.

I was very happy with my one-night stay at Hotel Mercier. The room was lovely, the breakfast delicious, and the location perfect. I left my ear studs on the nightstand by accident, but the staff kindly helped get them back to me quickly. I really appreciated the trust and service. Thanks so much for helping!

We were close to lots of shops, and it took about 10-15 minutes to walk to the tram, bus and metro stations. The room was clean and spacious, and the shower was great. The window couldn't be opened for safety reasons. The part I didn't like was getting in and out: you had to ring the doorbell for someone to let you in, for safety, and a couple of times late in the evening it took several tries. It felt even longer when it was cold. Still, it was a good stay!

We had a wonderful three-night stay at Hotel Mercier. From the moment we arrived, the reception team made us feel looked after. They held our bags, let us check in early, and gave us complimentary coffee while we waited. The bar area and coffee setup looked stunning and had a luxurious feel. Our deluxe room on level 4 was divine, with lovely large arched windows overlooking neighboring rooftops. Everything was clean and comfortable, with all we needed. The buffet breakfast was delicious each day, and the waitstaff were accommodating, especially Lorenzo. We'd love to return and highly recommend it.
