If you want more room for less than central Amsterdam prices, Hotel2Stay is a practical option. The big advantage is how close it is to Amsterdam Sloterdijk station. Rail, metro, bus and tram are just steps away, so reaching the city center is quick and easy. The room was decent, though it didn't quite match the professional photos. We had to shift furniture to use the desk, which made the path to the kitchen and bathroom cramped. There were some comfort and security issues. The door has no inside latch or deadbolt, so at night we leaned a chair against it to feel safer. During a late shower, the hot water stopped completely. The heating wasn't very strong, and I had to put on my coat afterward to warm up. Staff apologized but couldn't say what caused the outage. The neighborhood felt safe enough to someone used to NYC, though the front doors are locked at night for a reason. We even saw someone urinating right outside. They do offer useful luggage storage and a small, functional gym. The free Wi-Fi was fine for basic work, and they promptly returned the €100 deposit at checkout. It can be an affordable base for Amsterdam thanks to the price and transit hub nearby, even if the stay wasn't especially cozy or seamless.

Getting around was especially convenient. Sloterdijk Station is within walking distance, the airport is only a ten-minute Sprinter ride away, and Amsterdam Centraal is easy to reach. I really appreciated how straightforward the travel connections were. Staff were efficient, professional and helpful throughout. The room was impressive and comfortable for the price. I slept very well in the comfortable bed, and the shower had strong pressure with hot water at a steady temperature. I also liked having a kitchenette and cleaning supplies, though I didn't get a chance to use them. The wooden floor felt a little sticky when I arrived. I'm not sure whether that was from the cleaning products, but wearing socks solved it easily. Toothbrush and toothpaste aren't provided automatically. At checkout I was told a dental kit is available from reception if you ask. There's a €100 deposit, payable by cash or card, and you have to present the physical card. E-wallet cards aren't accepted for that, though the city tax can be paid by e-wallet. A very comfortable stay in a handy spot, especially if good transport links matter to you.

We'd definitely recommend it. This was our second stay, and once again we couldn't fault it. The rooms are apartment-style, clean, and have good water pressure. It's not by Amsterdam Centraal, but Sloterdijk station and the trams are just a couple of minutes' walk away. Sloterdijk is one stop from Amsterdam Centraal, and the fare is no more than £2.

The room was spacious and well kept, and the dry sauna was perfect after an evening out exploring Amsterdam. We stayed for three days, and the staff were helpful. Getting around by public transport was easy from here. I'd happily recommend it.
