Mercure Amsterdam North Station

Getting around was easy, even though the hotel isn’t in the Center, since it’s only a 2 minute walk away. Our room was clean and spacious, and the staff were lovely. We didn’t have breakfast there, but the restaurant looked nice. They provide a hairdryer, shampoo, and body wash.

The staff here deserve a lot of credit. Service was the best I’ve had at any Accor branded hotel anywhere. When I found that the air conditioning in my first room was broken and it was exceptionally warm, the front desk arranged help straight away. They couldn’t fix it, unfortunately, so they moved me to a larger room that was exceptional in every way. The hotel is fine for location, just two metro stops from Amsterdam Centraal, and the breakfast was excellent too.

From check-in to check-out, we had a great stay and couldn’t fault anything. We picked the hotel for its proximity to the Noord metro station, which made reaching the heart of Amsterdam in just two stops easy. It was extremely clean, and the rooms were a very good size compared with the tiny ones we saw in the middle of the city. Breakfast was very good and well stocked, and the coffee was good too, which isn’t always the case in hotels.

We were travelling with our 2-year-old toddler, and the staff kindly upgraded us to a family room after they found out. We really appreciated it. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and the metro station is just a 1-minute walk away. Excellent hotel, highly recommend!
