Mister Highland Hotel

The hotel has a really cool design, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was on the small side, but had everything we needed to be comfortable. It’s close to the party area, yet both nights were super quiet and we slept well. A great spot for exploring Amsterdam.

We’ve just returned from two nights at this lovely, welcoming hotel in the middle of Amsterdam. From the street, it catches your eye, set back a little with its own outdoor seating where you can sit and watch the world go by. Inside, the decor is stylish and clearly well thought out, and there are lifts to every floor. The staff were warm and welcoming, and our room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It’s ideally placed for getting around. I can’t think of a bad point. If you’re planning a visit, this is the hotel to book, though save us a spot because we’ll be back.

We stayed for two nights and it’s a lovely hotel in a great spot, close to everything. The woman at reception was very nice and said we could help ourselves to drinks at any time. The man at reception wasn’t as friendly and told us we couldn’t have a drink. He also smelled strongly of body odor and really could do with washing. It’s a shame when one staff member can bring down the feel of such a nice hotel. Even so, I’d stay here again.

The complimentary drinks were great, and the rooms were fantastic, with really comfortable beds. The price felt fair too. What made the biggest difference, though, was the staff. I was stuck in Amsterdam for four days because of the weather, and they did their best to make us feel welcome and at home.
