Being right on the canal gave us lovely views, and we could walk to the main sights and all the beautiful neighborhoods. We felt very lucky to have found this place. We stayed for a week in April, and it worked perfectly for us. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the furniture suited the space well. The kitchen was shared with the other apartment in the building, though we never saw the other guests. It was so well equipped that we could make our own breakfasts and dinner on some nights. The hosts had also stocked the fridge with drinks, which was a nice thing to come back to after long days out. We’d considered a nearby five-star hotel, but we’re glad we chose this instead. For the space, central location, and more than reasonable price for Amsterdam, we were really happy. We’d definitely stay again next time, over the hotels nearby.

We had a few drinks waiting in the fridge for us, which was a really sweet touch, and the hosts were attentive and nice. The suite is near the mayor’s house, cafes, and Amsterdam’s 9 Bridges. You can get around the whole city center on foot or by tram. It’s a good place if you’re on a budget. There’s no room cleaning during your stay, so you have to take care of that yourself. The room could also use better ventilation.

Mokum Suites was a great place to stay for our three nights. We were on the top floor, where the room and bathroom were huge, clean, and comfortable. It’s a quiet area, but still within walking distance of the center and several tram lines. The staff were easy to reach whenever we had questions, and the kitchen fridge was stocked with beer, wine, and soda. I’d highly recommend it.

The room was huge, the location was perfect, and checking in by ourselves was easy. The stairs are quite steep, though. If you have balance problems, try to get the ground-floor room.
