Moxy Amsterdam Houthavens

We had a handwritten note and a little wooden shoe souvenir waiting in our room when we arrived, a lovely touch. The hotel is in a quiet part of Amsterdam and easy to reach by the 48 bus, followed by a short five-minute walk. The staff were great, and I especially want to recognize the manager, though I wish I’d caught her name. Our laundry wasn’t sent out because Moxy uses a laundry service, while the Residence Inn has on-site laundry. If you need laundry done, make sure to choose your property accordingly. The manager fixed it by letting us use the laundry at the Residence Inn, which we really appreciated. She also went above and beyond by covering one day’s breakfast. She turned a worrying situation around. My only remaining concern was that some of the carpet in our room had slight stains, though it wasn’t dirty. I’d stay here again for the friendly staff and service.

We had a spacious corner room and the hotel was clean and safe, with the water right in front of us. The staff welcomed us and our dog so warmly. It has everything you need, though things are kept simple, so you have to ask if you want any extras. It’s about a 40-minute walk from downtown in a business district. We’ll definitely be back.

The hotel is modern and clean, with everything you need, from a sauna to a bar. Anna checked us in and was helpful with all our needs throughout the stay. It’s in a nice spot away from busy downtown Amsterdam, but the bus stops a few minutes’ walk away and takes about 10 minutes to get into the centre.

Breakfast was delicious, the Wi-Fi stayed reliable, and the shower had fantastic pressure and heat. The kind service and beautiful view made the stay feel special. I rented a regular bike, which worked well, though for a full day out I’d suggest paying a bit extra for an e-bike. You’d still save compared with taking Ubers. Thank you ❤️
