Park Inn By Radisson Amsterdam City West

I was nervous about booking after reading the reviews, but the stay was well worth what we paid. The rooms were quite spacious, and Annie made everything more pleasant by being really helpful and making sure things went well. We had a wonderful stay.

The location makes it easy to get around. The station is a two-minute walk away, with trains to the airport or centraal, and tram 19 leaves from the other side and goes around the edge of the center. Most central places are convenient to reach. The price was very good compared with hotels of similar quality, and everything was very clean. Staff were polite. The modern room was clean and comfortable, with functional decor and responsive climate control. The bed was very comfortable too. We heard a little outside noise, maybe wind or trains, but it wasn’t too disturbing. It lacks charm, but otherwise was very good. I’d stay again in a heartbeat if the Radisson Blu downtown wasn’t available or cost too much.

The location is excellent, and the room was spacious and clean. My emails about a few requests somehow got lost, but when I explained at check-in, manager Suki sorted everything out and made me feel special. She did all she could to help, with real kindness and humanity, and deserves recognition for her work. Later, I found a gift of Stroopwafles in my room with a letter from the manager, another five stars. Things can go wrong, but how they handle them is what matters. I’d choose this hotel again in Amsterdam for the top notch service.

The room's green color was a bit off-putting, honestly, but everything else worked really well. It was spacious even at the lowest price, and the bathroom had separate soap, shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. My room looked onto the tracks, yet the soundproofing kept it completely quiet. Being right by Sloterdijk Station made getting around Amsterdam easy. Bike hire is available through an outside company for €20 a day, which is pricey but useful for seeing the city. I knew about the 3 pm check-in when I booked, though arriving in the morning meant spending a few hours in town before I could get into the room. I had a really good stay at Park Inn by Radisson Amsterdam.
