OZO Hotels Arena Amsterdam

We were disappointed by how poorly maintained the room felt. The mattress was very hard and uncomfortable, making it difficult to rest, and the bathroom wasn't clean. The grout between the tiles looked rusty and neglected, and the hair dryer was covered in dust. The minibar was completely empty, and the bathroom door didn't close or seal properly, which reduced privacy. The hotel is advertised as four-star, but our experience fell short of what we expected from that category.

It was easy to get to the city center and nearby towns from this clean, quiet hotel near the train station. There’s a restaurant on site, but its menu was limited and a bit overpriced. I’d asked for a late checkout, but housekeeping hadn’t been told. When I came back, the room had already been cleaned and I was being asked to leave. That was frustrating.

The Metro station is practically right outside, and central Amsterdam is about 10 minutes away. Emma at the front desk was incredibly helpful, and the rest of the staff were great as well. The service was flexible and thoughtful, with the staff ready to do what they could to make the stay better. I’ll definitely come back and recommend this hotel. Five stars all round!

Everything was clean and tidy, from the hotel and rooms to the bar, and the breakfast was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful, and it’s close enough to the centre. Absolutely brilliant place to stay, 10/10. I couldn't fault it.
