The central location was a real highlight, close to lots of restaurants, activities and attractions, and it made Amsterdam easy to explore. The room problems and the way my lost item was handled, though, were disappointing. The TV in our first room, 758, didn't work, so staff moved us to upgraded room 406. The rushed move meant we accidentally left our passports behind, but they were found quickly once we noticed. I also left a TUMI garment bag in the first room's closet. When I asked staff to retrieve it, I was told the room was occupied and marked “Do Not Disturb.” A man at the front desk assured me they'd get it when the room was available and emailed updates about the lost item. After we checked out, I didn't feel the request was taken seriously: there was no follow-up at all, which was frustrating. Better coordination and communication would have helped. We stayed at The Park Royal Hotel from Thursday Feb 26 to Sunday March 1, 2026.

Christina at reception made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. She was warm, cheerful and attentive, made sure we had what we needed, and offered helpful recommendations. Her personal care made the trip more memorable, and the whole staff was friendly. The room was comfortable, clean and nicely presented, and the facilities went beyond what we expected. Thanks to the team, especially Christina, for a wonderful stay.

Our upgraded room had a lovely view and was a good size, clean, warm and welcoming. Inside, the hotel feels modern, with lovely rooms and a very nice bar. The staff were friendly and attentive. It's very close to the station, with boat trips nearby and trams for getting around the city. I'd recommend it.

The location was perfect, close to everything. We were very pleased with the cleanliness and room size, and our son could run around comfortably when he got restless during the day. This was our first trip abroad with our 14-month-old baby, and the restaurant team looked after us especially well. Every morning they greeted us with smiles and set up a table for the baby, with special plates, placemats and snacks for children. When we asked for extra fruit, they brought it right away, and they warmed the special food I'd brought for him each day. Thank you all so much.

YASMIN at reception was so kind, welcoming and helpful. She treated me very well and made me feel appreciated as a guest, and her friendly manner made the stay even nicer. Everything at the hotel was clean, comfortable and well organized. Thanks to her and the great service, I'd recommend the hotel and would love to return. Azad
