The staff are accommodating, the location is excellent, and the prices are hard to beat. The room was basic and looked clean. Still, I had to leave and lower my rating because of bugs. I’m sure there were bed bugs. On my first night I woke up to a full-grown one on my pillow, and it had recently fed. At night, when I turned on my room light, wasps would crawl out of the fixture and stay on the ceiling. They were nesting up there already, even with the window shut.

I’ve been waiting years for the Christian shelters to open. It looks like next year may be when Amsterdam City reunites. Everyone left, but I’ll come back and take a look. Robert died, though I don’t believe he did. God bless.

The beds are comfortable, and breakfast is simple but good. The atmosphere feels right for a Christian organization, and everyone serving there is polite and friendly. The bathroom sometimes smells bad, and water drains from the shower slowly. The internet connection is very weak on the second floor.

The night shift staff came across as a bit rude and condescending. There weren’t any common areas open in the early morning where I could relax before an early flight. As a solo backpacker, I also didn’t find it easy to meet people here. The day staff were super nice and packed me breakfast in the morning. The bathrooms were spacious, my bed was comfortable, and the other guests were respectful. It was quiet enough at night to get a good rest.

The dorm had 12 beds and plenty of space, and it was still comfortable. The location is really convenient, and the free breakfast was delicious. Most of all, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, a 10/10 for them.
