Sotel Amsterdam Central Station

The room was practical and the bed really comfortable, and the staff were very kind. It did feel humid, though, so we got cold quickly. The receptionist gave us extra duvets, which was helpful. Water also gets everywhere in the shower because it needs a glass door. I hope they fix those things, as otherwise the hotel is great and the location is perfect.

We had a pleasant stay, with clean and very spacious rooms and kind staff. The hotel is right in the center, close to Amsterdam Centraal, and it was easy to get around by transit or on foot. One thing that could be improved is the shower drainage, since the floor slope kept the water from draining properly. Thanks for the stay!

The location was very practical, and the room was okay apart from being quite humid because the shower room was half open to it. But this was the worst stay I’ve had by a country mile over one small but relentless problem: the AC made a loud buzzing noise every 15 minutes and woke us each time. The receptionist tried to fix it, but couldn’t. They also couldn’t move us to another room or partner hotel, and had no earplugs to get us through the night.

Good value for the money, and the rooms and bathroom were clean. The noise was the main problem: all night I could hear other guests on the stairs and doors shutting, though it may depend on which room you get. I also had to carry heavy suitcases up a flight of stairs. Otherwise, I’d stay here again.
