SWEETS - Willemsbrug

We had such a good time here. The rooms are bright and cozy, the bed is comfortable, and the view is fantastic, with everything passing by outside. The service was excellent and I'd love to come back. I'd definitely recommend it.

We loved the huge bay window and large bed, and watching everyday life unfold from an iconic bridge house right on the canal was a thrill. At night, with the curtains closed, the room was quieter and more private than we'd expected, though it got a little cold and could've used another blanket. The entrance, sink and bathroom are all quite small, which makes sense in a historic building. If you're comfortable with that, I highly recommend it. I can't wait to try another SWEETS location on our next Amsterdam trip.

We had a lovely night in room 303, and the bed was wonderful, though it shook a bit. After about 7 p.m. the traffic on and around the bridge eased quickly, so the noise wasn't an issue and we didn't need the earplugs. As fans of the Amsterdam school of architecture, we really enjoyed staying in the Willemsbrug bridge keeper's house. The room and view were beautiful. I watched people, boats and the impressive bridge going up and down from cushions on the windowsill. The seating wasn't very comfortable, but space is limited. I piled cushions on a garbage can so my husband could sit more comfortably too. Maybe a stool would work.

We had a wonderful stay at 303 Willemsbrug Bridgehouse. There were plenty of interesting magazines and table games in the room. If you're after a distinctive place to stay in Amsterdam, we strongly recommend it.
