Turning those retired bridge guard houses into hotel rooms is a brilliant idea. The view is lovely, the location is perfect, and the design is well done. Everything was spotlessly clean.

We had a very comfortable, romantic couple of nights in early September in this quirky building. It's close to the city center and has amazing river views. Highly recommended.

The bathroom is downstairs in the basement while the living space is on the second floor, so this may not suit you if going up and down two flights of stairs is a problem. It worked fine for us, though, and we had a great time. I stayed here with my girlfriend, and it was honestly one of the best parts of our city trip. The harbor view was lovely, and it was a 10-minute walk along the water to the central train station.

I won't forget staying in this repurposed Bridge House. Walking up to it each day was a treat, and the views were incredible. Getting into the city was easy too. The quirky little space is compact but laid out well, with everything needed for a short stay. Be aware there are quite a few stairs up to the room and down to the bathroom, which could be a problem for anyone with mobility issues.
