The host is such a kind, hospitable man, and he makes what might be the world's best poached egg. He’s helpful but never intrusive, so even with the small space you don’t feel uncomfortable. The room is very clean and laid out well, and the fridge is stocked during your stay. Chocomel ❤️ All the essentials are there, including a Dyson hairdryer with diffuser, which I’d recommend for curly hair. The only issue is the sound carrying through the apartment. Dining room conversations and creaky stairs are fine, but hearing the people upstairs being very pleasant is more than I need ;) I’ve been to Amsterdam a few times and wish I’d found this place earlier. I’m also sorry I was too shy to speak English with the host. I understood everything he said, but I was embarrassed to reply, and feel I missed out on hearing his stories and recommendations. I hope I can return.

Matt is one of the kindest people around, and the home is just perfect. We had an incredible stay at what has to be one of the best bed and breakfasts you’ll find. The breakfast was the best we had on our whole holiday!

The guesthouse is a lovely place to relax away from the busy city, and the location is great with cafes nearby. Matt has refurbished his home beautifully, and all the thoughtful details make it feel special. My sister and I had a fabulous stay. Matt was sincere, kind, and fun, and made us a simple, fresh, delicious breakfast. We were pleasantly surprised by the service and hospitality. Thanks, Matt! 🥰

Matt, the owner, is so nice and helpful, and the breakfast he serves each morning is amazing. It’s a lovely way to start the day. Lastage Inn is right in central Amsterdam, near the Grachten and old buildings, and has everything you’d want from a bed and breakfast. I’d definitely choose it again when I return. Don’t miss it!

The location is ideal, on a quiet street but within walking distance of everything. The room was stylish, spotless, and so comfortable that we felt at home. The place has great style and artsy details, and Matt, the owner, really makes the stay. His avocado, egg, and mushroom toast at breakfast is something else. Worth every cent. I wouldn’t spend the same amount on a hotel instead.
