Triple G Hotels

It was quiet, with no noise from outside or other rooms, and the bed was comfortable. The room layout was awkward, though: getting to the closet was difficult, and the pillar made it hard to move around to the other side of the bed. There was nowhere to hang towels to dry and no hangers in the closet. The shower water was scalding hot, and the adjustment knob was stuck so I couldn’t regulate it. The TV didn’t work, and management couldn’t fix it. The WiFi box was dangling from the wall, then someone fixed it with duct tape.

For a budget stay, I’d definitely come back. We paid €80 for a two-bed room, €40 each, and the room was clean enough. The bathroom was nice, and the location is very good, right by the Netherlands’ most famous pickle seller. It’s not a five-star hotel, and I expected some dirt, but maybe a cleaner missed something. That’s no reason to leave a terrible review. The staff will help when there’s a problem.

Getting around was easy because the hotel is very accessible by public transport. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the bedsheets were clean and comfortable. There was a little dust in some corners of the room, but otherwise I had a good stay and would consider coming back.

The cigarette smell was strong and lingered in the room, even though it was meant to be non-smoking. The bedding and cleanliness were well below an acceptable level, and the room was clearly not clean. I also found bed bugs, which was disturbing and completely unacceptable. Guest hygiene and comfort don't seem to be taken seriously here. I wouldn't recommend Triple G Hotel, and I won't be back.
