Vondelpark Suite

Breakfast was really nice, with lots of fresh ingredients to choose from, though it starts later than I'd like: 7.00, or 7.30 on weekends. Parking is usually available outside, charged by the hour and free on Sunday. Reception staff are super friendly. The rooms are small but stylish and have the amenities you need. It's in a quieter part of Amsterdam, but you can reach the city easily by bike, tram or a nice walk through Vondelpark. This is my preferred hotel when I visit Amsterdam.

The rooms are cozy and the beds comfy, and having bikes available made it easy to get around through the park. The place has a really relaxed feel. Loved our stay, and we'd definitely come back :)

At €440 per night, I expected more and came away really disappointed. The room needs maintenance: scratched walls, heavily worn electrical outlets, and mold on the bathroom ceiling and walls. There was also a lot of noise from people in the hallways, morning and evening, and nothing you could do about it. When we arrived, the elevator wasn't working, so we had to use the service elevator for our bags. There was no bellboy or anyone to help, which wasn't nice. The hotel has a program where you can choose whether to have your room cleaned and receive a gift for being more “eco friendly,” but no one offered it to us. The free room items were coffee, tea and water. I expected Nespresso but got L'Or, a cheaper alternative. There wasn't any water in the room either, so we had to go to reception to get some. The tea choices weren't anything special. The room I'm in now costs half as much and has several water, juice and coffee options. The front desk service was always marvelous, which is why I gave two stars. But I wouldn't recommend the hotel at all: it was crazy expensive without anything special. It also isn't very accessible for wheelchair users, so I definitely wouldn't recommend it.

We stayed quite a while and enjoyed every moment in this lovely hotel and neighborhood :) The rooms were cozy and comfortable, and the staff were genuinely welcoming and attentive. Breakfasts were delicious, with a beautiful view. Highly recommend for Amsterdam, and I can't wait to come back :)
