Westerpark Suites

The room itself was decent, but on the fourth floor it felt like being in an attic. The stairs are very steep and won't suit everyone. In unit B, the west-facing window gets a lot of sun, and without air conditioning the room became really hot during the day and barely cooled down overnight. With the changing climate, I think they should consider adding AC to Unit B.

The room was lovely and clean, and the bed was really comfortable. There are some problems, though: the stairs are very steep, the banister is loose, and the electricity box behind the front door buzzes quite a bit.

We're both over 70 and have arthritis, so we couldn't manage the narrow, steep stairs up four flights to the attic. We had to book another hotel right there on the spot, and hope we'll get a refund. This accommodation shouldn't be offered at all.

An error by the US passport agency meant I had to ask to cancel. Their website says the fee can be waived in circumstances beyond my control, so I requested that, but they didn't waive it. That's their right. What bothered me was getting no reply at all: the website promises a response within 48 hours, and more than a week has passed. I emailed again asking for an answer and still heard nothing. Unprofessional.
