Fletcher Hotel - Restaurant De Wipselberg - Veluwe

This was the worst hotel stay I've ever had. I arrived very late, with nobody to show me where my room was, so I had to search for it alone through the dark forest. The rooms look nothing like the photos. Most alarming, keys from one door can open other doors. I accidentally opened another guest's room while they were sleeping, so anyone could get into yours. It didn't feel safe at all. My room was cold, smelled awful, and looked dirty and shabby, nothing like the listing. I asked for a refund right after seeing it. They said it would come in the next few days, but wouldn't give me any paperwork, receipt, invoice, or cancellation invoice. I needed an invoice for accounting because I paid with my company card, but they refused to provide one. I can't recommend this place.

The room was clean and tidy, with a fairly large bathroom. It's in a separate building from the gorgeous main building, where the restaurant serves a great breakfast buffet.

We left at two in the morning on the first night because we couldn't sleep. The houses looked awful, and the whole interior seemed to be from the 80s, including a bed whose metal springs pressed into my back. The restaurant looks nice when you arrive, but calling this a hotel is a stretch. It felt more like a bungalow park.

Surrounded by forest, the hotel had a lovely green landscape, though rain meant we didn't have time to explore. Our room was spacious enough and clean, and we enjoyed the pool. Breakfast had plenty of variety, and the restaurant's three-course dinner was quite tasty.
