The apartment is modern and beautifully decorated, with a big kitchen and plenty of room to eat and relax. The hosts were really friendly and helpful, and there’s lots of free parking nearby, though it can fill up during the day. At night, we could usually park right outside. The box beds were a hit, especially for younger kids. Getting upstairs is a bit of a climb, and the toilet is tiny. I’m not even tall by Dutch standards, and sitting down was a challenge. Still, it’s a great place to stay and I’d happily recommend it.

The apartment itself was stylish, nice, and good value in a good area. The owner was quick to respond when I raised concerns and helped us arrange somewhere else down the street, which I appreciated. But the whole situation could have been avoided with an accurate listing. We decided not to stay after checking in. The website photos didn’t show the large collection of rubbish bins directly outside the entrance, or make clear that a restaurant kitchen is on the ground floor right below. We could see the bins easily from inside. Renovation work was also underway next door, apparently something the owner already knew about. We arrived early Saturday morning and heard the kitchen, glass being dumped into a bin several times, and power tools next door from around 8:00 am. I understand the owner can’t control what neighbors do on a weekend, but I would have appreciated a warning about the construction. With the kitchen, bins, and possible noise disclosed, we wouldn’t have booked, and everyone could have avoided a lot of trouble. The toilet room was very small too, so a tall person couldn’t sit down and shut the door. After the owner found us another place, we were asked to pay 35 Euros, apparently to cover the reported costs of the woman who had let us into the first apartment. We paid, although staff elsewhere later told us that charge shouldn’t have been requested.

We booked without any trouble, and the Bloemendaal location was nice. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. We were on the top floor, though, and the narrow staircase is steep, which was a pain with suitcases. The weekend price during Formula 1 was absurdly high, so I’ll leave it at that.

That little wardrobe bed is fantastic, and the house itself is great. The bathroom is large, but it doesn’t have a toilet, while the toilet in the room is tiny. At night we could hear the people upstairs continually moving doors, and construction workers outside made noise during the day.
