Breda Nightflight Jeugdherberg

The only reason I’m giving it two stars is the location and the friendly, helpful superintendent. For the price, the place is cold, and the mattresses had stains. The windows are there, but completely shut behind reinforced blinds. Towels were stiff, linen was flimsy, and the rooms were barely clean. The bathrooms were in a state too.

Way too expensive for what you get. I paid 40 euros a night for a single room. There’s no late check-in, the building and furniture are really old-fashioned, and there was a constant smell of smoke. The receptionist wasn’t that nice either. Don’t expect much, and only go if you have no other options.

Getting into Breda’s center is quick from here, which made it a handy base for going out without a long trip back to the hotel. The room price was good too.

The owner was friendly and glad to help, and there were lockers and a towel for the shower. It’s a simple place, but that covered what I needed from a hostel.
