We had a lovely time on the terrace at this 200-year-old hotel restaurant. There were lots of older couples enjoying the atmosphere with a good glass of wine, bitterballen, and cubes of aged cheese. Inside, the décor has an inviting old-fashioned charm. It’s a place I’d like to return to as soon as I can.

For a group of 12, the staff and kitchen handled dinner impressively well, even with nearly everyone ordering a different dish. We arrived at the very un-Dutch dinner time of 16:30. I had the pork belly and duck breast, both cooked excellently, then chose cheese instead of dessert. I expected something mediocre, but the selection included some bold, strong cheeses that smelled and tasted fantastic. Prices were more than reasonable. We paid around 50 euro per person for three courses, including wine and port. I’d definitely recommend stopping by.

I’ve stayed here several times and it’s a cosy family hotel in lovely surroundings. The spacious room had a good bathroom, and the terrace is great when the sun’s out. I especially like being able to walk straight from the hotel into nature. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all available at a great price, making it a lovely getaway.

The rib-eye and lady steak were cooked perfectly when we ate here. If you’re in Delden, give this place a try. And a tip: Irish coffee!

We visited the restaurant twice during a weekend in D. The food was excellent, the menu was good, the service was great, and the premises were pleasant. A great place to eat in Delden.
