The cellar has its own character, with striking lighting, lots of different art, a long table, beds and a distinctive shower. Upstairs, the atelier feels completely different, with an eclectic art collection, kitchen, couch and a table for eight. We were right in central Deventer, an easy walk from its old buildings, cozy streets, museums, restaurants, shops and parks, with lovely river views too. Our hostess was warm and welcoming, shared plenty of good dining suggestions and arranged a generous breakfast. There was enough in one package for two breakfasts and two lunches. A great place if you enjoy somewhere unusual.

Right around the corner from The Brink in Deventer, with lots of restaurants and bars nearby. The place has a distinctive atmosphere and plenty of space over two floors, including a king-size bed in the basement, which is part of an art gallery. The owner greeted us so warmly that we felt at home straight away.

Great beds, really good coffee, and service that was just as good. A real gem for a night or more in Deventer, with a great location too.

We were five people and had lots of space, with room for seven if needed. The bathroom was spotless, very spacious and had all the amenities. This welcoming B&B is right in the city center. The only small drawback was the lack of window coverings, though an eye mask did the trick.
