Mezger Lodges

Our apartment at Mezger Lodges in Domburg was next to reception, with a lovely view and a terrace in the garden. My wife, our two kids, aged 6 and 10, and I stayed there, and we'd recommend it. There were two bedrooms, two bathrooms, three TVs, and a guest toilet. Everything was ready for us and very clean when we arrived. The staff were kind and quick to help, and breakfast delivered to the apartment one morning was delicious. We also had a lot of fun using the pool on two evenings. We parked the car on level -1. The Wi-Fi worked quite well, though it did cut out now and then. Paying online through the website or by credit card was easy, and opening the doors with an iPhone made everything feel modern and convenient. We asked for fresh towels via WhatsApp, and they arrived soon after. We'll be back one day!

The breakfast was good, varied enough, and brought to our door each morning. The staff were friendly in our few interactions, and we liked both the location and the city. We stayed four days in lodge E28 after an unfortunate mix-up with another hotel in Zeeland. The apartment looked impressive at first and worked well for us. It was spacious, luxurious, and furnished with quality items. We heard no major noise from inside or outside, though later there was some scratching from the room above. When we arrived, the buildings were almost empty. A few home comforts were missing. There was no coffee or tea by the machine, and I was charged for capsules from reception without being told they cost extra. There was no water or welcome gesture in this otherwise pricey lodge. The sunny balcony was lovely, but I would have liked a large mirror somewhere. The bathroom was very spacious yet had nowhere to put things, and its attractive mirror was poorly lit. There was no soap in the shower. I like minimalism, but practicality can look nice too.

The lodge is magnificent, but the garage was a nightmare, and there were no bikes available to rent. Staff at the MEZGER restaurant were exceptionally helpful and kind. We couldn't find a contact person for the LOGDE, though. Breakfast could be better, and having NESPRESSO or a bottle of wine waiting on arrival would make the welcome feel warmer. The shower valve was faulty, and it took a lot of force to start and stop the water. Why didn't MEZGER take care of these little things during lockdown?

The staff were extremely friendly, and the apartments are very spacious. There’s parking in the basement too. The rooms are nice and the place is quiet. If you're looking for something between a hotel and an apartment, this is well worth a look. There's usually a restaurant on the premises as well, so you don't have to rush off somewhere else for a good dinner.
