Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant Doorwerth-Arnhem

The rooms are great value, and the staff were kind, helpful, and understanding. There may be a few more ads than I like, but that’s a very small gripe given the price.

The park and lake made for a nice walk, and I preferred being outside in the sun, even though it was colder. The indoor pool was too dark, cold, and noisy for me. We had a cosy room, good meals in the restaurant, and lovely staff. Breakfast was a letdown, though. I expected more choice, the pancakes weren’t freshly made, and my croissant was overbaked, dry, and hard.

The setting was lovely, and we enjoyed biking around the beautiful nature nearby. The room was spacious and attractive, but the bathroom had a constant sewage smell. Breakfast could be much better for a 4 star hotel. There were lots of kids at the hotel. Eight of them were in the gym, making a lot of noise and playing for hours when we wanted to use it. The same thing happened at the pool, so the stay was far from relaxing.

The staff were really nice and attentive, and the bar area is nicely done. The rooms are simple but very affordable, with clean rooms and a modern bath. Our room had a double bed even though it was listed as two single beds, but you can just pull them apart. I’ve saved this Fletcher for future visits.
