Breakfast cost us an extra €20 per person, and there was plenty to eat and drink, with good coffee machines. We had SPA facilities included in our reservation, but didn't visit them. Getting to the hotel without a car is difficult: it's in the forest and there isn't a pedestrian path in. The restaurant was apparently fully booked, so we had to order food elsewhere. There's no room service for anything, and a bottle of wine costs €40-50.

The hotel is in a beautiful part of Holland, and the surrounding area is stunning. The service was fine and the rooms were quite nice, but €300 a night feels overpriced, especially with €35 of that being for the dog. The indoor pool is tiny and rather cold. In October, our room was cold too and difficult to warm up. It feels more like a business hotel than a family place.

They made our dog feel welcome, which was really nice. The location is beautiful, and the facilities are good. Our room was clean, and the staff were very friendly. There's a pool, and you can reserve the attached sauna for free at reception.

The room's little tea station in the wardrobe, with a kettle and teabags, was a nice touch. The place is cozy, quiet, and relaxing, with a lovely view. We were met by a friendly, helpful receptionist, and the pool was pleasant for a refreshing swim, though small and not very warm. Breakfast was delicious and had lots of sweet and savory options, both hot and cold. It's worth booking it with the room. There are some frustrating details. The old carpets are stained and ripped. The shower and sink are right next to the bed, without a door. There is only one bathroom hook for wet swimsuits or towels, and no shelf in the shower for toiletries. My husband doesn't drink coffee and asked for hot chocolate or cocoa powder, but was told it had to be ordered separately and paid for. At this price, I think cocoa powder should be part of breakfast. There's no water bottle, minibar, fridge, or bathrobe for walking to the pool either. We considered eating at the hotel, but the menu and prices put us off, so we drove into town. That was the right choice: at another restaurant just seven minutes away, the price of one hotel main dish got us a starter, main course, dessert, and drinks.
