The best part for me was the people. Linda from housekeeping was so kind and helpful, and the bartenders and wait staff were friendly and knew their stuff. The chefs’ food was divine, with Vester restaurant downstairs. The rooms were great too, breakfast was included, and the location couldn’t be better. I’d highly recommend a stay for work or a holiday.

The pub is great, and the rooms are simple but fine. Our night was rough, though: a big party was happening downstairs while we were on the third floor, and the alarm went off about five times over nearly two hours. It was so loud we couldn’t sleep. The staff offered lunch to make up for it, but we weren’t planning to stay past 11am. A small refund would have been appreciated.

It was acceptable for a one-time experience, but not something you’d brag about. Each room had a shower and toilet, and there was a breakfast buffet in the morning. I did miss having crispy bacon.

The location was great and the staff were very kind. We weren’t told that check-in happened at the restaurant downstairs, though, and there were no signs. Our room was tiny, as was the bathroom. When we unfolded a blanket, a dirty sock fell out, which made me wonder whether the sheets had been changed and washed. Sound carried from the guests below and to the right, and from the square and restaurant below the front rooms. It wasn’t very pleasant. We did get two vouchers for drinks at the restaurant, including beer, wine, or soda, and breakfast was a nice spread of fresh croissants, bread, cold cuts, cheese, yogurt, cereal, and fresh orange juice. For the price it was decent, but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it.
